About Medically-Assisted Weight Loss

Medically Assisted Weight Loss with Semaglutide and Tirzepatide: Semaglutide (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) and Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) are two of the most effective GLP-1 receptor agonists (and dual agonists in Tirzepatide’s case) used for medically assisted weight loss. These medications help with appetite control, blood sugar regulation, and fat loss in individuals with obesity or overweight-related health conditions. These carefully dosed treatment plans help you control hunger pangs and reduce your appetite. Gain the confidence and tenacity that goes hand in hand with finally achieving your dream physique. You deserve it!

Obesity is recognized as a medical condition, often serving as a precursor to various other health issues, including heart disease and diabetes. Maintaining a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) within the range of 18 to 25 is considered ideal. If your BMI exceeds 25, you are categorized as “overweight or obese.”  You might be wondering if medically assisted weight loss is a suitable option for you. Typically, an excellent candidate is an individual who is otherwise in good health but has a BMI exceeding 30, or a BMI greater than 27 with at least one weight-related comorbidity, such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol. If you meet these criteria and feel like you’ve exhausted various weight loss methods without success, incorporating medication into your weight loss journey may be a viable option. If you’re unsure whether you qualify, we encourage you to schedule a consultation to learn more about the program and determine your eligibility. Please note that this approach is not typically the primary choice for managing type 2 diabetes.

Our program involves a series of weekly subcutaneous injections, which you administer to yourself, designed to help you feel fuller, curb cravings, and maintain a sense of fullness for longer periods. These medications will be conveniently shipped to your doorstep. The prescriptions we provide are generic versions of well-known brand name medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro. At Elevated Aesthetics, we source these medications from reputable 503A compounding pharmacies within the USA, which helps keep medication costs manageable.

Semaglutide (Ozempic) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) have demonstrated effectiveness in suppressing appetite, improving control overeating habit reducing food cravings, and enhancing glycemic control.

To participate in our program, you’ll need to fulfill a series of requirement The initial appointment involves a comprehensive physical health assessment and a laboratory review (CBC, CMP, TSH, Lipid Panel, HgA1c). The lab work will be ordered for you to have completed prior to your appointment. If you have recent blood work results (within the last 6 months) from your Primary Care Provider, you may be able to bypass this lab draw by bringing in your existing records. During this initial appointment, you will receive training on self-injections, and your medication will be shipped to you within approximately 7-21 days.

If your BMI is within the healthy range, but you still wish to shed those extra 5 to 10 pounds, you can opt for liraglutide (Victoza) or Lipo-B (MICC) injections, available for daily or 1-2 times a week administration.  Please note that we do not accept insurance for these medications, as obtaining them through insurance can be both challenging and costly.  The program cost is structured as a subscription based on the market value of the product, from $1200-1500 quarterly (every 3 months). You are required to pay up front for the duration of medication ordered. This is an elective program. If you join the program, you are agreeing to pay for Elevated Aesthetics oversight and fees for the duration of the program.

Please be aware that the availability and cost of medications may fluctua based on FDA standards during the program, and we may have to off alternatives.  If you have further questions or require additional information, please visit our Semaglutide and Tirzepatide FAQ page.

Who is a Candidate?

  • BMI ≥ 30 (Obese) or BMI ≥ 27 with a weight-related condition (e.g., type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or sleep apnea).

    Additional Considerations

  • Long-Term Use May Be Necessary: Stopping the medication without lifestyle modifications can lead to regaining lost weight.
Prescription Required: These medications must be prescribed by a healthcare provider, and insurance coverage varies.

Which One is Right for You?

  • If you want the most effective option, Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) appears superior for weight loss.
  • If you want an FDA-approved weight loss drug, Semaglutide (Wegovy) is the better option.
  • If you are pre-diabetic or diabetic, both are excellent choices, but Tirzepatide may have an edge in controlling blood sugar.
